Karatza, Zoi, Kindergarten

Ms. Zoe Karatza is a dedicated and experienced educator with a strong passion for early childhood education. She holds a B.A. in Early Childhood Education and an M.A. in Information and Communication Technology in Education from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, as well as additional studies in Psychology at the University of Padova in Italy.

Throughout her career, Ms. Karatza has excelled in a wide range of roles. As an Early Childhood Teacher and Coordinator of Early Childhood Programs at a STEM learning center, she designed innovative curricula, trained fellow educators, and fostered a love of learning in her students. At ͵ÅÄйÃÜ—where she is now celebrating her 10th year—she has embraced many responsibilities, including assisting the Optimal Learning Program (OLP) across grade levels, serving as a Permanent Substitute Teacher, and working as a Learning Support Specialist. These roles allowed her to refine her expertise in differentiated instruction and inclusive education.

For five years, she also served as the Elementary School Instructional Technology Teacher, where she guided students in becoming responsible digital citizens, empowering them to navigate the online world safely and thoughtfully. Her action research, Promoting Social and Emotional Learning through Digital Citizenship Lessons, has been recognized for its innovative approach to fostering both digital literacy and emotional intelligence (ECIS Inclusive Education Conference 2023).

An active researcher and presenter, Ms. Karatza has shared her work at international conferences and in peer-reviewed journals. Her research includes ICT as a Tool of Differentiated Instruction (7th International Conference on Education and Management Innovation) and The Effects of Artificial Intelligence on Students’ Learning Outcomes (5th International Conference on the Future of Teaching and Education). She also holds the International Teaching Certificate from TES Institute and has been recognized as a Common Sense Educator for cultivating a positive culture of learning and inspiring young learners.

A committed lifelong learner, Ms. Karatza has completed a wide array of professional development courses, including Supporting Children with Difficulties in Reading and Writing (UCL Institute of Education, Dyslexia International), Conceptual Math Training for Grades K–2, and Educational and Psychological Measurements in Special Education (George Washington University).

Now in her 10th year at ͵ÅÄйÃÜ, Ms. Karatza finds herself in her dream role—teaching Kindergarten, where her heart truly lies. Her teaching is defined by creativity, dedication, and a deep love for nurturing children’s growth and well-being at this crucial developmental stage. She is committed to building a warm, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment where every child feels valued, inspired, and equipped with the skills to thrive in an ever-changing world.
