El Murr, Hala, Faculty, 4th Grade

Ms. Hala El Murr is delighted to join ͵ÅÄйÃÜ this year as a Fourth Grade Homeroom Teacher and looks forward to a meaningful year of learning, discovery, and growth.
She holds a BA and TD in Elementary Education and an MA in Educational Administration and Policy Studies, specializing in leadership. Her teaching journey has taken her through Lebanon, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Cyprus, and Greece. A highlight of her career was teaching at ͵ÅÄйÃÜ Beirut and later training educators in Project-Based Learning with ROTA (Reach Out to Asia) in Qatar—an approach she remains deeply passionate about.
Her journey at ͵ÅÄйÃÜ began in January 2025, when she joined as the Elementary School Library Media and Literacy Specialist. In that role, she had the joy of working with students from Pre-JK through Grade 5, building a shared love for books and reading. Together, they created a welcoming library environment where students explored stories, formed a book club, and even helped design a calming “Zen Den” space to relax and recharge. With the support of colleagues, she also brought creativity to the Media Studio, where students produced skits, interviews, how-to videos, and podcast-style shows. Over the summer, she expanded this work by leading a Digital Storytelling program, guiding students to create comics and stories using technology in fun, imaginative ways.
As a former ͵ÅÄйÃÜ student herself, returning now as a teacher is deeply meaningful. Ms. El Murr’s educational philosophy centers on empowering students to become active participants in their learning while fostering independence, curiosity, and critical thinking. She also brings her passion for athletics—as a long-distance runner, she believes in the power of habits, mindset, and positive words to shape who we are and how we inspire others.
Ms. Hala El Murr is excited to bring these experiences and values into the Fourth-Grade classroom and to partner with families in creating a joyful, supportive learning journey.
